Job summary

Smart Education are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in the Henley-In-Arden area. The role supports pupils with SEN, in a supportive and flexible environment.

You'll join a team in primary settings, with opportunities for ongoing placements and a potential pathway into a permanent role. DBS checks required; experience in UK primary schools preferred.

The role offers a competitive day rate and flexible work across year groups.

Qualifications

• Strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Confident and supportive with learning and behaviour.
• Enhanced DBS on Update service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, positive and productive classroom.
• Work collaboratively with Teachers, support staff and SEN teams.
• Follow school policies and expectations.
• Working with pupils in class, small groups and 1:1.
• Working across Key stage 1 and Key stage 2.

Job Requirements of a SEN Teaching Assistant

• Minimum 6 months UK experience in a Primary school
• Strong classroom and behaviour management
• Confident and supporting with learning and behaviour
• Enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS on the Update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• SEN Experience desirable
