Job summary

Smart Education is a specialist Education and Early Years agency recruiting for permanent and temporary roles including Teachers, Teaching Assistants, SEND, Nursery Nurse and Tutors. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

All successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. The SEN Teaching Assistant role offers flexible day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements across primary year groups, with your own dedicated consultant to support

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months UK experience in a Primary school.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Confident and supportive with learning and behaviour.
• Enhanced DBS update service, or willingness to obtain one.
• SEN experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, positive and productive classroom.
• Work collaboratively with Teachers, support staff and SEN teams.
• Follow school policies and expectations.
• Working with pupils in class, small groups and 1:1.
• Working across Key stage 1 and Key stage 2.

Job Requirements of a SEN Teaching Assistant
