Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd. is seeking a Teaching Assistant for a Primary and Secondary Special Needs School in Harrogate. The role is 1:1 or small group support, starting September, with temp-to-perm potential.

Work hours are 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a daily rate of £100–£110. Responsibilities include assisting the lead teacher, supporting pupils with autism and challenging behaviours, and helping create an inclusive learning environment.

Teaching Assistant (TAHA) Harrogate, England

Empowering Learning are working with a Primary and Secondary Special Needs School in Harrogate who are seeking Teaching Assistants to support in their classrooms on a 1:1 basis or within small groups. These roles are to start September and are temp to perm.

Pay: £100-£110 a day Monday to Friday school hours 8.30 - 3.30pm

The school caters for Primary and Secondary pupils supporting Children with Autism and Challenging Behaviours and communication needs.

You will be involved in classroom duties and off-site recreational activities.

Duties

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.
• Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism.
• Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Help students with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene.
• Support students in their academic and social development.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.

Skills
