Teaching Assistant
Location: Grimsby
Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day
Start Date: After October Half Term
Contract Type: Part time/Full time

GSL Education are seeking to employ a Teaching Assistant to work, for a client school in Grimsby, startingafter October Half Term. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who must be hardworking, conscientious and full of energy, with a strong track record of raising achievement.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their best. This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience in a school setting and make a real impact on the education and development of children.

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

• Assist the class teacher in preparing lesson materials and resources.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
• Monitor and report on student progress.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with special educational needs and disabilities.
• Help maintain classroom discipline and encourage positive behaviour.

To be a successful Teaching Assistant you should:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
• A passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications or training as a Teaching Assistant is an advantage.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy school environment.
• Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to have one processed immediately.
