Job Title: Psychology Graduate - Teaching Assistant (TA)

Location: Hull
Salary: £90 - £105 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: May 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

A forward-thinking school in Hull is seeking Psychology graduates to join their dedicated support staff team. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring educational psychologists, SEN specialists, or those pursuing a career in teaching.

Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with special educational needs, SEMH, or behavioural challenges.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
• Use your psychology background to help develop strategies that support emotional regulation and academic progress.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote social-emotional wellbeing.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and SENCOs.

The Successful Candidate Will:

• A degree in Psychology (or a related subject).
• A genuine interest in working with children and young people.
• Empathy, patience, and a proactive attitude.
• Previous experience in a school, care, or support setting is desirable but not essential.
• Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
