Job summary

Horizon Teachers is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils across a warm, inclusive school in Croydon. The role runs from September to July 2027, on a full-time basis, supporting pupils with a range of SEND including ASD and ADHD.

You will work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored learning, provide one-to-one and small group support, and promote positive behaviour and independence in a safe, engaging environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or transferable experience welcomed).
• Patient, empathetic and resilient with a genuine passion for SEN education.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from teachers and therapists.
• Willing to work towards SEN/childcare qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs.

We are currently working with a warm, inclusive and nurturing special school that provides high-quality education and care for pupils with a range of special educational needs. The school is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential in a supportive and well-structured environment throughout Primary and Secondary age.

They are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team and support pupils across the school. This position starts in September until July 2027 on a full-time basis.

The school caters for children with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs, so having experience within a similar position is very desirable.
