Job summary

Principal Education is seeking caring SEN Teaching Assistants to work in inclusive primary schools across Ealing, full-time until July 2027. You'll support children with autism and communication needs, including some non-verbal pupils, who do best with calm, consistent adults around them every day.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, use visuals, routines and sensory strategies to help children regulate, work with the class teacher and SENCO towards EHCP

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in schools, care, youth work or at home.
• Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, term time.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new application.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Overseas police clearance if you've lived abroad for 6 months or more in the last 5 years.

What you must bring

• Right to work in the UK
• Experience supporting children with SEN, whether in schools, care, youth work or at home
• Patience, empathy and composure when the day gets hard
• Full time availability, Monday to Friday, term time
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new application
• Overseas police clearance if you've lived abroad for 6 months or more in the last 5 years

Pay and benefits

• £105 to £130 per day depending on experience, paid weekly
• Higher rates for ongoing roles, aligned with the school's pay scale
• Long term work with the same children, not day to day supply
• A route into permanent SEN Teaching Assistant roles
