Job summary

Supply Desk are seeking a classroom Teaching Assistant for a small Primary school near Chichester. Starting from September 2026 on a long-term contract (with the potential to become permanent).

Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30. £85-£98 per day (dependent upon experience). The role involves supporting a class with additional needs, delivering interventions in small groups, and assisting with preparation and organisation. There is a permanent contract potential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering interventions in primary settings.
• SEND knowledge advantageous.
• GCSE Maths and English at A-C.
• Passionate, enthusiastic and proactive candidate.
• Safeguarding knowledge and vigilance.

Responsibilities

A small village school nestled in the Chichester countryside are seeking a teaching assistant to support a class from September. There are a number of children with additional needs within the class and ideally you would have experience working with children in a school setting.

Individual Profile

• Some experience working with children is desirable
• Knowledge of Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs would be valuable
• GCSE Maths and English to A- C grade
• Passionate, enthusiastic and proactive individual
• Knowledgeable about safeguarding
• Adaptable and sensitive when dealing with challenging situations
• First Aid trained or be willing to be trained
