Job summary

Pyrcroft Grange School, part of Bourne Education Trust, is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The role is full-time on a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027, with a salary on the Support Pay Scale 3.

You will work under the direction of the responsible Teacher to support learning, deliver intervention programmes, and help pupils feel valued and included in a nurturing, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated safeguarding commitment for children.
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification.
  • Evidence of CPD or continued professional development.

Responsibilities

Position: Teaching Assistant

Contract: : Full time, fixed term contract (until 31 August 2027)

Salary: Support Pay Scale 3 (FTE £24,330 Actual £17,330)

Responsible to: Headteacher

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Working as part of a team, under the direction of the responsible Teacher, support teaching provision, development and implementation of learning for pupils
  • Under the guidance of the responsible Teacher, facilitate the learning of individual pupils and groups, setting high expectations and promoting positive attitudes to learning
  • Prepare, plan and deliver specific intervention programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil response and needs

Essential

Requirements include:

  • Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification)
  • Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development
