Job summary

Monarch Education in Belper is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support primary schools from September 2026. Roles include one-to-one and small group support across local settings with flexible hours and competitive daily rates (£92.59–£120).

You will work with pupils with additional needs, supporting access to learning and helping create an inclusive classroom environment. September start, ongoing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN or SEND.
• A positive, patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties would be highly beneficial.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide valuable support to pupils who require additional assistance to access learning and thrive within the classroom environment.

You may support pupils on a one-to-one basis, work with small intervention groups or provide classroom-based assistance alongside the class teacher. Schools are seeking individuals who can provide consistency, encouragement and a calm, supportive presence throughout the school day.

This role would be well suited to candidates with experience in education, childcare, youth work, residential care, support work or similar settings.
