Job summary

Monarch Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants for primary schools in the Rochdale area to support pupils with additional needs from EYFS to Year 6. Roles include daily supply, short-term and long-term placements, with flexibility to match availability.

Ideal candidates will have experience with ASD/ADHD/SEMH/MLD/SLD, a patient and adaptable approach, and strong communication. This is an opportunity to contribute to inclusive education across multiple settings in the Rochdale region.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in some capacity is preferred.
• Ability to support pupils with additional needs with care and empathy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork to collaborate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
• Work alongside teachers and SENCOs to deliver targeted support.
• Assist with learning, engagement and emotional well being.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.

Monarch Education is working in partnership with a range of Primary schools across the Rochdale area, to recruit Teaching Assistants who are confident supporting pupils with additional needs from EYFS to Year 6.

Whether you're looking for daily supply, short-term assignments, long-term placements or a route into a permanent role, we can offer flexibility to suit your availability.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities
• Work alongside teachers and SENCOs to deliver targeted support
• Assist with learning, engagement and emotional well being
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups where required

We're looking for:

• Experienced Teaching Assistants, care workers or youth workers, who have experience working with children in some capacity.
• Confidence supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD or other additional needs
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
