Job summary

Kempston Academy in Bedford is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils and staff with general classroom duties and to assist a child with specific needs such as behavioural challenges or English as an additional language.

The role involves supporting learning in class as directed by the class teacher/line manager and helping to maintain an orderly and clean classroom environment. This is a permanent, term-time position with induction and safeguarding processes in place.

Qualifications

• Support pupils and staff with general classroom assistance.
• Assist a child with specific needs such as behavioural difficulties or English as an additional language.
• Contribute to maintaining a tidy, organised classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom assistance as directed by the class teacher/line manager.

Teaching Assistant

Location: Kempston Academy, Bedford

Contract: Permanent

Hours of Work: 35.75 hours per week, 39 weeks

Salary: Level 2 Point 2-5

We are looking to appoint a passionate and skilled Teaching Assistant to support pupils and staff through the provision of general assistance in the classroom and the school, or to support a child with specific needs (e.g. behavioural difficulties/ or English as an additional language).

The role will involve providing support for learning in the classroom as directed by the class teacher/line manager and help to maintain the order and cleanliness of the classroom environment e.g. putting up displays.
