Buckingham Park Church of England Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our support team. The role covers Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 depending on candidate skills and experience.

You will work with qualified teachers to support individual children, teach small groups, and provide welfare and administrative support, including supervision at play and lunchtimes. We support children with a range of needs, and operate a flexible rota with no full-time 1:1 commitment.

Job description

We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join our support team, working in Early Years, Key Stage One or Two dependent on the skills and experience of the candidate. We need support assistants who will work flexibly - this may include some scheduled time supporting pupils with special educational needs and also to work with the wider children and teaching team. Teaching assistants will be expected to work alongside our qualified teachers by supporting individual children, providing administrative and welfare support, teaching small groups, supervising children at play or lunchtimes and much more!
We have a range of children who need support, including children with diagnoses of Attention
Deficit Disorder, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Physical Disabilities, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. These children and well supported by a team who work on a flexible rota, with no full time 1:1 commitment. The balance between on-to-one support and other support work will be decided based on the skills and experience of our support team at any time.
