Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust in Thatcham is seeking a patient, adaptable Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs on a fixed-term basis for two years. The role runs 31.25 hours per week during term time, from 8:45am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

• Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs. A calm, patient and resilient approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships and maintain professional boundaries.
• Experience of supporting children with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The confidence to respond effectively to challenging situations and adapt their approach to meet individual needs.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
