Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Sutton-in-Ashfield. The role runs long-term from September, supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 and working closely with class teachers to aid learning and maintain a positive classroom environment.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in a primary school, strong communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to adapt to individual pupil needs.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Experience supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; good understanding of TA role.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers, support pupils with their learning, assist with classroom activities and help maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Relevant experience working with children in a primary school setting
• Experience supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2
• A good understanding of the role and expectations of a Teaching Assistant
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive and proactive approach
• The ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils
