Job summary

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning and development.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities.
• Provide 1:1 or small-group support when required.
• Help foster pupil confidence, independence and personal development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in class.
• Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
• Support children with varying abilities and needs.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, support staff and pupils.

As a Teaching Assistant, you may be responsible for:

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development
• Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required
• Helping to foster pupils' confidence, independence and personal development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
• Supporting children with a range of abilities and individual needs
• Communicating effectively with teachers, support staff and pupils

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least 3 6 months' experience working in UK schools, or relevant experience within a UK educational setting
• Holds QTS or a relevant education qualification/experience
• Has a genuine passion for teaching and supporting children
• Is motivated, enthusiastic and reliable
• Has a kind, patient and caring approach
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Is committed to supporting and fostering child development
• Can build strong and positive relationships with pupils
