Job summary

Novus, the prison education provider, is recruiting a Maths Teacher for HMP Wymott near Leyland. The role is permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week, with DBS checks and safeguarding at the core.

You will join a mission-driven team delivering education to inmates and supporting their rehabilitation. The position requires qualified teaching credentials, commitment to ongoing professional development, and the ability to report on learner progress while collaborating with colleagues across the LTE

We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Wymott, working as a Maths Teacher. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Site Information

HMP Wymott is a Category C Mens prison based near Leyland, Lancashire. The teams aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe, and where causes of prison stress are minimised. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

• Teaching qualification and where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months
