Job summary

Novus, the LTE Group’s prison education provider, is seeking a Maths Teacher to join the team at HMP Doncaster on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week. You will plan and deliver engaging maths lessons, support learners toward recognised qualifications, assess progress, and adapt your teaching to meet diverse needs in a secure setting.

Qualifications

• Hold a teaching qualification and, where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months.
• Hold a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Understand or have experience of creating stimulating, vibrant environments which are conducive to learning and motivational for learners
• Have a good previous track record of achieving quality targets, producing accurate and timely reports, and positive team working
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good IT skills
• Have passion for the subject and an ability to motivate and enthuse learners in the subject matter
• Demonstrate good organisational skills to prioritise workload and meet deadlines/targets

We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Doncaster, working as a Maths Teacher. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Site Information

HMP Doncaster is a category B local resettlement prison situated in South Yorkshire. The prison houses a male population . HMP Doncaster also operates as a resettlement prison working with prisoners, particularly those serving less than 12-months, to ensure that they have the support they need for resettlement as well as access to the services and support available to them after release.
