Job summary

Exeter College’s Young ESOL provision is thriving, we’re proud of our strong success rates and we are ambitious for our young people. The job will involve teaching 16-18 year olds to develop their English language skills to prepare them for GCSE or ESOL assessments.

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced part-time Teacher to join our dedicated team to teach English. Experience with ESOL and supporting learners to develop strong literacy skills will be advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching English to ESOL learners is essential.
  • Experience with ESOL students and supporting them to develop literacy is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Teach English to 16–18 year olds to prepare for GCSE or ESOL assessments.
  • Contribute to the delivery of Exeter College’s Young ESOL provision within the Professional and Adult Learning faculty.
  • Engage with learners from diverse backgrounds and support inclusive teaching practices.

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced part-time Teacher to join our dedicated team to teach English.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience teaching English
  • Enjoys working with diverse groups, including asylum seekers and refugees
  • Brings excellent communication and teamwork skills

Experience with ESOL students and supporting them to develop strong literacy skills will be advantageous, but not essential.
