Job summary

The Parker Academy, part of the E-ACT family in Daventry, is seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join our Parker Plus provision. The successful candidate will have experience in a primary setting and a passion for supporting pupils with SEND.

This is a permanent, part-time role (0.6 FTE), 22.2 hours per week, with the usual working pattern. We offer a strong financial package, generous leave, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• QTS or recognised equivalent.
• Degree in subject specialism as relevant.
• Secure knowledge of the subject specialism and curriculum requirements.
• Strong classroom management with an inclusive learning environment.
• Experience teaching in a primary setting and a passion for SEND.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons which engage, motivate and challenge students.
• Set high expectations for all students and promote excellent standards of achievement, behaviour and attendance.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with differing abilities, backgrounds and learning needs.
• Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum plans and schemes of learning.
• Work collaboratively with pastoral, SEND and safeguarding teams to remove barriers to learning.

Pay range:

• M1 - UPS3 £23,271.75 - £36,090.37 £(FTE: £34,069 - £52,835)
• Part time (0.6), 22.2 hours (Usual working hours are 8:00am-4:00pm, with Fridays being 8:00am-3:30pm, depending on your allocated working days.)
• Permanent.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified Teacher Status (or recognised equivalent)
• Degree in subject specialism
• Secure knowledge of the subject specialism and relevant curriculum requirements
• Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive, purposeful and inclusive learning environment.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
• Have experience teaching in a primary setting and a passion for supporting pupils with SEND
