Job summary

Parker Academy, part of E-ACT, Daventry, is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join the Parker Plus provision. The role fits a primary setting with a passion for supporting pupils with SEND and delivering high-quality lessons.

The post is a 0.6 part-time contract (8:00am-4:00pm, Fri 8:00-15:30) with a structured pay scale from M1 to UPS3. Join a Trust investing in staff development and a strong inclusive culture.

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
• Degree in subject specialism.
• Experience teaching in a primary setting and SEND.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Teacher to join The Parker Academy, based within our Parker Plus provision. The successful candidate will have experience teaching in a primary setting and a passion for supporting pupils with SEND.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons which engage, motivate and challenge students
• Set high expectations for all students and promote excellent standards of achievement, behaviour and attendance.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with differing abilities, backgrounds and learning needs
• Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum plans and schemes of learning
• Work collaboratively with pastoral, SEND and safeguarding teams to remove barriers to learning

Pay range:

• M1 - UPS3 £23,271.75 - £36,090.37 £(FTE: £34,069 - £52,835)
• Part time (0.6), 22.2 hours (Usual working hours are 8:00am-4:00pm, with Fridays being 8:00am-3:30pm, depending on your allocated working days.)
• Permanent.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified Teacher Status (or recognised equivalent)
• Degree in subject specialism
• Secure knowledge of the subject specialism and relevant curriculum requirements
• Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive, purposeful and inclusive learning environment.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
• Have experience teaching in a primary setting and a passion for supporting pupils with SEND
