Job summary

The Parker E-ACT Academy in Daventry is seeking an inspiring Associate Assistant Head - SENCO to lead inclusive SEND provision and champion the needs of pupils with SEND. You will collaborate with staff, families and external partners to ensure every pupil can thrive.

Key responsibilities include providing strategic SEND leadership, managing provision, engaging parents, safeguarding and contributing as an SLT member. This is a full-time, permanent role with a focus on excellence in inclusion.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Senior leadership qualification or willingness to work towards.
• Knowledge of current SEND legislation, statutory guidance and the SEND Code of Practice.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to inspire and motivate.
• Ability to develop and sustain a positive culture for learning and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for SEND across the academy, promoting achievement and wellbeing.
• Lead and manage the academy's SEND provision with effective identification, assessment, and support.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents/carers to support their child’s education.
• Promote safeguarding, welfare and wellbeing of all students, especially vulnerable ones.
• Act as Associate member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Job Title: Associate Assistant Head - SENCO

The Parker Academy is seeking an inspiring and committed Associate Assistant Head - SENCO to lead our inclusive provision, champion the needs of pupils with SEND, and work collaboratively with staff, families and external partners to ensure every young person can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for SEND across the academy, ensuring an inclusive approach that promotes achievement, wellbeing and positive outcomes for all students.
• Lead and manage the academy's SEND provision, ensuring effective identification, assessment and support for students with additional needs
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with parents/carers, ensuring they are actively involved in supporting their child's education.
• Promote the safeguarding, welfare and wellbeing of all students, particularly those identified as vulnerable.
• Associate member of the Senior Leadership team (SLT)

Pay range

• L8 - L12 (negotiable for strong experience) - £63,688.00 - £70,275.00
