Chauncy School in Ware seeks a qualified Science Teacher to join a high-performing department. You will teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics across KS3-KS5, prepare students for GCSE and A-level, and contribute to curriculum development while supporting SEN and EAL learners.

We are looking for a Science Teacher to join our dedicated team, teaching across KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5. You will deliver engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics (KS3, GCSE and potentially A-level or Applied Science), support exam preparation, and help drive attainment for all groups. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to curriculum development, lead enrichment activities, and support students with SEN and EAL needs.

Job purpose

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Teach Science across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics (GCSE and A-level, including combined science routes)
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations, supporting them to reach their full academic potential
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and EAL students
• Use data-driven approaches to track pupil progress, set targets, and implement interventions to raise attainment for all groups
• Contribute to curriculum development and review within the Science department
• Lead and support science enrichment activities and extra-curricular science clubs
