Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is recruiting a Maths Teacher to join welcoming secondary schools in Wigan. You will plan and deliver engaging maths lessons for KS3/KS4 (and KS5 where applicable), assess student progress, and support a positive, inclusive learning environment.

QTS is required, along with recent school-based teaching experience and a commitment to safeguarding. We offer competitive PAYE daily rates (£160-£230), flexible placement options, and access to a dedicated consultant to support

Qualifications

  • Hold QTS or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification.
  • Recent experience teaching in a school setting.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
  • Provide suitable references, hold (or be willing to apply for) Enhanced DBS, and have the Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging maths lessons for KS3/KS4 (and KS5 where applicable).

£160 - £230 per day (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role

Vision for Education is recruiting passionate Secondary Teachers, Qualified Teachers (QTS), and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work in a range of welcoming and well-regarded secondary schools. As a Secondary Teacher, you’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons within your subject specialism, inspire and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 where applicable), assess and monitor pupil progress, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment. You’ll work closely with experienced colleagues to ensure students are supported both academically and personally.
