Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that are engaging, interactive, and aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, providing feedback that promotes growth and understanding.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and professional development sessions.
  • Encourage a growth mindset and love of learning among students, promoting participation in extra‑curricular Maths‑related activities.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level, with a strong knowledge of the UK curriculum.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • A proactive approach, with strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the varying needs and abilities of students.
  • Strong commitment to personal and professional development.
  • A valid DBS check or the willingness to obtain one prior to starting.
