Job description

The English department provides an exciting curriculum for all KS3 and KS4 students in the Academy. In Years 7 - 9, students study a wide range of texts and genres before progressing to the AQA GCSE courses in English Language and Literature from Year 10. At Sixth Form, the department currently offers A Level English Language and Literature.

The department is led by the Head of Department, supported by coordinators for each Key Stage.

This post is advertised at an exciting time in the Academy’s development of its English curriculum for all KS3 and KS4 students.

The King's Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff are expected to share this commitment. The position will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, especially if engaged in regulated activity or contact with children. Additionally, as part of the shortlisting process, we may conduct an online search to identify any incidents or issues that could be relevant for discussion at interview.

Salary and benefits

M1 to UPS, ranging from £31,650 to £49,083.
