The role

ESMS is recruiting a Teacher of Computing to join the Senior School Computing Department on a permanent, full-time basis. The salary is £52,508 and an immediate start is available, subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks. The role is based at the ESM Senior School on the Queensferry Road site. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about engaging with current research, reflecting critically on their practice and contributing to professional dialogue around effective teaching and learning. Approaches should be informed by recognised frameworks, including the Raspberry Pi Foundation's 12 Principles of Computing Pedagogy. The department's core curriculum is built around Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL and PHP. The post holder will possess strong expertise in these languages and be willing to explore and introduce emerging languages, tools and technologies where they enhance pupils' learning.
