About the Role

A secondary school in Blackpool are seeking to appoint an inspiring and committed Teacher of Computing to join their successful Technology department. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching and support pupils in achieving their full potential academically and personally.

The school currently offer Computer Science at Key Stage 4, and the successful candidate will teach Computing across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Computing lessons across a range of abilities
  • Differentiate effectively to support all learners, including SEND, EAL, and high-attaining pupils
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
  • Contribute to the development of the Technology curriculum and departmental initiatives
  • Support pupils’ personal development and wellbeing, including Form Tutor responsibilities
  • Participate fully in school life, enrichment activities, and professional development
About You
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
  • Has experience teaching Computing at KS3 and KS4
  • Can deliver KS3 Computing as part of a Design Technology carousel and KS4 Computer Science
  • Demonstrates a commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
  • Works collaboratively and contributes positively to a team environment
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
Desirable:
  • Experience in a Catholic school or willingness to support its ethos
  • Proven track record of raising attainment
  • Interest in extracurricular activities or vocational ICT pathways

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
