Job summary

Vision for Education is recruiting an experienced Teacher of Computing to join a secondary school near MediaCityUK, Salford. You will plan and deliver engaging Computing lessons across the secondary age range.

The role starts ASAP and runs until October half term, with a strong possibility of extension. The ideal candidate holds QTS, recent UK teaching experience, and a track record of effective classroom management.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching Computing in a UK secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver the Computing curriculum.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Available to start as soon as possible.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is essential due to immediate start.
• Right to Work in the UK.

£168 - £232 per day (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and the Role

Vision for Education is recruiting an experienced Teacher of Computing to join a secondary school near MediaCityUK in Salford.

The school requires a confident and experienced Computing teacher who can start as soon as possible and take responsibility for planning and delivering engaging Computing lessons across the secondary age range.

The role is initially required until October half term, with the potential to extend beyond this point.

Due to the immediate requirements of the school, this position is not suitable for an ECT. Applicants should have previous experience teaching Computing in a UK secondary school and be confident taking responsibility for classes from the outset.

Requirements

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have recent experience teaching Computing in a UK secondary school
• Have strong subject knowledge and be confident delivering the Computing curriculum
• Be able to plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons
• Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be available to start as soon as possible
• Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service - this is essential due to the immediate start
• Be able to provide suitable references and have the Right to Work in the UK
