Job summary

Tameside College in Ashton-under-Lyne is seeking a full-time Electrical Installation Teacher to plan, deliver and develop teaching/learning programmes, using a flexible range of strategies. You will assess learners progress and develop assessment processes against personalised targets, with evening work possible.

We require Level 4 Teaching Qualification (or DTLLS/PGCE/Bachelor of Education) or equivalent within 3 years, plus CPD evidence.

Salary: £33,809 to £46,603

What you’ll need:

• Enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated with Literacy and Numeracy to at least a Level 2, candidates must be qualified to least a Level 3 in Electrical Installation Engineer.
• Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Certificate in Education/ PGCE/Bachelor of Education or required to achieve Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment, relevant assessment qualifications - IQA/A1/V1 and evidence of current Continuous Professional Development.

Here’s the standard bit:

You’ll be responsible for planning, delivering and developing teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles. Taking responsibility for your quality of teaching and related curriculum development that meet learner needs, whilst assessing learners progress in College or on work experience and devise assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets. As we're a college which provides adult education, there's a possibility that you may be asked to work for up to two evenings weekly. Any hours worked during evening sessions will be deducted weekly from normal working hours according to the needs of the business.
