Rise Technical Recruitment is assisting a leading college in Blackpool to hire an Electrical Installation Trainer. The role involves delivering Level 2/3 and T Level Electrical Installation with practical workshops and theory, in cohorts of about 24 learners.

It offers full teacher training, a 37‑hour week, and a clear path to leadership roles within the department. The ideal candidate has an Electrical background, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, 18th Edition, and Testing & Inspection/2391.

Qualifications

• Electrical installation background required.
• 18th Edition for electrical teaching.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical is essential.
• Testing & Inspection / 2391 qualification preferred.
• Gold Card or strong Electrical Installation experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Electrical Installation across Level 2, Level 3, and T Level provision.

As an Electrical Trainer, you'll deliver Electrical Installation across Level 2, Level 3, and T Level provision, working with class sizes of around 24 learners. You'll deliver a mixture of practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theory, supporting learners as they develop the technical knowledge, confidence, and skills required to progress within the electrical industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong Electrical Installation background and hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, 18th Edition, and Testing & Inspection / 2391. You should have strong practical industry experience, a student-first attitude, and a genuine motivation to move into teaching. Previous teaching experience is beneficial but not essential, as full support can be provided through internal teacher training, starting with AET and potentially progressing onto a Level 5 qualification.
