Job summary

DN Colleges Group in Doncaster is seeking an Electrical Installation Lecturer to deliver engaging teaching across electrical courses and assume Programme Tutor responsibilities, providing academic guidance and pastoral support to a caseload of learners.

You will collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to deliver an innovative and relevant learning experience, driving student progression and outcomes across the curriculum.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in Electrical Installation at Level 3 or higher.
  • Maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Teaching qualification Level 5 or willingness to work towards.
  • Experience delivering electrical installation courses is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across Electrical Installation programmes.
  • Act as Programme Tutor supporting student progress and wellbeing.
  • Plan, prepare and assess learning with accurate records.
  • Embed Maths, English and digital technologies in teaching.

About The Role

As an Electrical Installation Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and effective teaching across a range of electrical courses, supporting students to achieve their full potential. You will take on Programme Tutor responsibilities, providing both academic guidance and pastoral support to a caseload of learners. The role involves working collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners to ensure an innovative and relevant learning experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across Electrical Installation programmes
  • Act as Programme Tutor, supporting student progress, attendance and wellbeing
  • Plan, prepare and assess learning, maintaining accurate records of student achievement
  • Embed Maths, English and digital technologies into teaching practice
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting equality and safeguarding
  • Contribute to curriculum development and build links with industry
  • Participate in student recruitment activities such as open days and events
  • Work closely with colleagues to continuously improve teaching, learning and assessment
Essential Criteria
  • Relevant Electrical Installation qualification at Level 3
  • Minimum Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English
  • Teaching qualification (Level 5) or willingness to work towards
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum and industry standards
  • Ability to motivate and support students to achieve their full potential
