Job summary

Tameside College in Ashton-under-Lyne is seeking a Teacher in Animal Management to deliver and develop engaging teaching with flexible strategies, and to assess progress against personalised targets.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated with Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2.
• Level 3 qualification or relevant NVQ (or equivalent).
• Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Cert Ed/PGCE/Bachelor of Education or Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent with CPD evidence.

Here’s the standard bit:

• You’ll be responsible for planning, delivering and developing teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles; taking responsibility for your quality of teaching and related curriculum development that meet learner needs, whilst assessing learners progress in College or on work experience and devise assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets.

What you’ll need:

• Enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated with Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2, you must have a Level 3 qualification or relevant NVQ (or equivalent).
• Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Certificate in Education/ PGCE/Bachelor of Education or required to achieve Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment, relevant assessment qualifications - IQA/A1/V1 and evidence of current Continuous Professional Development.
• You will be experienced and be a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
