Job summary

HARLOW COLLEGE is seeking an experienced Counsellor to teach across vocational counselling programmes at our Harlow campus. This is a part-time, face-to-face role with approx 9 hours per week, delivering Level 2 to Level 5 courses to adult learners.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 5 counselling qualification (or Level 4), be a member of the BACP, and have Level 2 English and Maths. You may be required to teach in the evenings; excellent benefits and pro rata holiday are on offer.

Qualifications

• Must have experience of working in counselling
• Must have Level 2 English and Maths, or equivalent
• Must be a member of the BACP or equivalent professional body
• Ideally Level 5 qualification in counselling (Level 4 acceptable)
• This position requires face-to-face classroom teaching and some evening delivery may be required

Responsibilities

• Teach across Level 2, Level 3, Higher National Certificate in Counselling (Level 4) and Higher National Diploma in Counselling (Level 5)
• Deliver counselling courses to adult learners at Harlow campus
• Support learners' development and progression in counselling knowledge and skills

Location: Harlow

Harlow College is currently looking for dynamic and inspirational individuals to support adult learners with the development of specific vocational skills and knowledge to enable them to gain new expertise and progress their careers.

We are looking for industry experts or experienced teachers/trainers to train the future generation of accredited counsellors. We are looking for an experienced Counsellor to teach across the following vocational courses:

• Level 2 counselling
• Level 3 counselling
• Higher National Certificate in Counselling (Level 4)
• Higher National Diploma in Counselling (Level 5)

What we are looking for:

Ideally a Level 5 qualification in counselling but candidates with a Level 4 qualification in counselling would be considered.

Must have experience of working in a counselling

Must have membership to the BACP or equivalent professional body

Must have a Level 2 English and Maths, or equivalent

These courses are delivered via face-to-face classroom teaching. The successful candidate will be required to have a flexible approach to working, as some courses may be delivered during the evening.
