Qualifications

• Operators must be 18+.
• Have a good conversational level of English.
• Have permission to work in the UK.
• Have a reasonable knowledge of the local area.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and take customer bookings.

• Monitor vehicle availability and journey progress.

Ace Cabs is recruiting Taxi Operators / Dispatch Operators to support our growing taxi operation in Stamford and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for organised, calm and customer-focused individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Taxi operators play a vital role in keeping our service running smoothly by managing bookings, dispatching drivers and supporting customers throughout their journey.

The Role

As a Taxi Operator with Ace Cabs, your responsibilities will include:

• Answering incoming calls and taking customer bookings
• Dispatching jobs to drivers using our computerised system
• Monitoring vehicle availability and journey progress
• Providing clear, polite, and professional customer service
• Handling general enquiries and supporting daily operations

Working Patterns

• Full-time and part-time positions available
• Shifts may include evenings or weekends
• Based at our Stamford office

What We’re Looking For

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Confidence using computers and booking systems
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Previous operator or call-handling experience is helpful but not essential

Training & Checks

• Full training provided on our dispatch and booking systems
• Ongoing guidance and support from management
• All suitable roles require an Enhanced DBS (police) check
