Forbes Dawson (DJH's Tax Specialists) in Altrincham is offering a Tax Trainee Apprenticeship. The role provides mixed exposure to corporate, inheritance tax, VAT and private client matters, with hands-on client work from day one.

You will join a growing tax team, supported by full ATT study assistance, and a clear path to qualification within a fast-paced, modern practice that values development and client service excellence.

Formación

• Degree or college leaver with a strong academic record.
• GCSEs at least 5 passes including Maths and English, with A Levels or equivalent.
• Full-time ATT study support and commitment to professional qualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Support senior advisors on Corporate Tax, Inheritance Tax, VAT, SDLT and Private Client matters.
• Attend on-site client meetings with the team and contribute to tailored tax solutions.
• Gain exposure to compliance and advisory work across tax areas from day one.
• Develop knowledge through ATT studies and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues across offices on cross‑office projects.

As part of our growing specialist Tax team based in Altrincham, you will play an active role in delivering high-quality advisory work across a wide range of tax areas. This is a mixed tax role where you will get exposure to tax compliance and advisory. The role offers hands‑on exposure to corporate, trust and individual clients with genuine variety from day one.

It’s a great opportunity to develop and progress within a forward‑thinking and fast‑paced firm. You’ll be:

• Supporting senior advisors on a broad mix of Corporate Tax, Inheritance Tax, VAT, SDLT and Private Client matters.
• Attending on‑site client meetings alongside senior team members, contributing to discussions and helping to shape tailored tax solutions.
• Gaining exposure across all areas of tax, with the opportunity to develop a well‑rounded understanding.
• Progressing through ATT, with full study support
• Assisting in the growth of our Tax Advisory Hub, collaborating with a central team and engaging with colleagues across our other offices.
• Participating in cross‑office projects and client visits, broadening your professional network and experience.
• Taking ownership of your development by exploring areas of tax you enjoy most during your studies, with the flexibility to specialise post‑qualification.

• Be a college leaver or graduate. Graduates should be expecting a minimum 2:1 degree. College leavers should hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 5 and above (including Maths and English at grade 6 or above), and be on track to achieve 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above in any subject.
