Job summary

DJH is offering a Trainee Accountant apprenticeship in Manchester. You’ll join the Early Careers team, receive a structured induction, and a personal development plan guiding you toward becoming a fully-fledged accountant while pursuing AAT studies.

The role includes working with a talented team to prepare financial statements, handle tax liabilities, and build strong client relationships in a fast-paced environment. Flexible hybrid working and funded study support are provided.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs minimum, with Maths and English at level 6 or higher.
• On track to achieve 3 A Levels (or equivalent) Grade C or above.
• Strong communication and relationship-building capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a talented team, adding value to the work we deliver.
• Prepare year-end financial statements for a wide range of clients.
• Assist with corporation and personal tax liabilities and tax planning ideas.

After a proper induction to the business, a personal development plan will be drawn up for you. It will outline each of the steps you’ll need to take to realise your ambitions and goals of becoming a fully-fledged Accountant. Life will be fast paced, engaging, creative, rewarding and you’ll learn loads every day.

Your typical day as a Trainee Accountant will involve:

• Being part of a talented team, adding value to the exceptional work we deliver
• Preparing year-end financial statements for a wide range of clients
• Calculating corporation and personal tax liabilities, whilst coming up with tax planning ideas
• Cracking on with your personal development plan – shadowing, questioning, and learning to help you achieve your ambitions and be victorious in your AAT studies
• Building long-lasting relationships with clients and wowing them daily
