Job summary
Nelson Permanent Placements are recruiting on behalf of a market-leading Industrial Engineering Contractor based in Swadlincote for a Tank Builder. The role focuses on assembling stainless steel tanks from engineering drawings within a workshop, with measuring, cutting, and final assembly of components.
The ideal candidate has strong stainless steel fabrication and sheet metal experience, proficient TIG welding, and a solid understanding of finishing and polishing techniques, health & safety,
Qualifications
- Experience in Stainless Steel fabrication and sheet metal work.
- Reading Engineering and Fabrication drawings.
- Strong Tig Welding experience (mainly Stainless Steel).
- Understanding Stainless Steel finishing and polishing techniques.
- Using fabrication and Workshop equipment.
- Working independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and understanding Health & Safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assemble stainless steel tanks according to engineering drawings in a workshop environment.
- Measure up and cut stainless steel sheet metal for final tank assembly.
- Assemble components and ensure quality and safety during assembly.
