Job summary

Katie Bard is seeking a Talent and Development Manager to shape and lead our learning and development strategy in Birmingham City Centre. You will design programmes, drive leadership development, create competency frameworks, and ensure learning initiatives align with business goals and future talent needs.

This is a full-time, permanent role, hybrid (2 days in office). You will oversee the LMS, manage external learning providers, mentor managers, and measure success through KPI dashboards,

Qualifications

• Significant Talent and Learning & Development experience.
• Strategy design and programme development for L&D.
• Leadership development and succession planning experience.
• Blended learning and adult learning methodologies.
• LMS management and learning technology oversight.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the organisation’s Talent, Learning & Development strategy.
• Lead performance and development frameworks, including 1-to-1s, reviews and development plans.
• Design and deliver engaging blended learning, leadership and professional development programmes.
• Develop competency frameworks, skills matrices and career pathways.
• Identify current and future skills gaps to support workforce planning and succession.
• Manage apprenticeships, qualifications, mentoring and coaching initiatives.
• Oversee the Learning Management System and mandatory/compliance training.
• Manage external learning providers and key stakeholder relationships.
• Measure L&D effectiveness through KPIs, feedback and business outcomes.
• Coach and advise managers on talent development and organisational capability.
