We're Hiring: Head of Talent Acquisition & Retention

Location: London (On-site across Cubitt House estate, with flex for strategy days)

Are you a people-powered recruiter with a flair for building teams, shaping culture, and spotting standout talent a mile off? Join Cubitt House, one of London’s most iconic pub groups, as our Head of Talent Acquisition & Retention — and help us grow the future of hospitality. Our amazing locations are based in Mayfair, Marylebone, Notting Hill, Belgravia, and Chelsea.

We’re looking for someone who’s not just filling roles — but creating careers, elevating the candidate journey, and building lasting relationships inside and outside our walls.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading end-to-end recruitment across our pubs and group functions
  • Headhunting top talent and building a strong pipeline for the future
  • Partnering with GMs and People teams to define what great looks like
  • Building relationships with universities, launching our gap year and apprenticeship programmes
  • Owning the candidate experience from first contact through onboarding
  • Driving team retention, employer brand, and culture through strategic initiatives
  • Managing skilled worker sponsorship and right-to-work processes
  • Supporting structured onboarding and 30/60/90-day retention initiatives

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has 4+ years’ senior experience in recruitment or talent, ideally in hospitality/lifestyle brands
  • Knows how to source hard-to-find talent and build magnetic employer brands
  • Is passionate about people, process, and experience
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, people-first business with big ambitions
  • Loves the energy of great pubs and great teams
