Job summary

ICare is seeking a Recruitment & Retention Officer to attract, engage, and retain talented care workers across the UK. You will lead on writing compelling job adverts, sourcing candidates, and coordinating interviews with Hiring Managers.

The role emphasizes delivering an excellent candidate experience, conducting pre-employment checks, and analysing recruitment trends. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are desirable for multi-location coverage.

Qualifications

• Previous recruitment experience.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Experience sourcing candidates through multiple channels.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Experience building effective stakeholder relationships.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging, high-impact job adverts that attract quality candidates.
• Source candidates through job boards, social media, recruitment fairs, networking opportunities, and innovative recruitment campaigns.
• Build strong partnerships with Hiring Managers and support recruitment planning across multiple locations.
• Deliver an outstanding candidate experience from application through to onboarding.
• Arrange interviews and provide recruitment guidance to operational managers.
• Conduct pre-employment checks, references, right-to-work checks, and compliance processes.
• Ensure candidates complete onboarding requirements and mandatory training.
• Produce recruitment reports and analyse recruitment trends.
• Develop relationships with Job Centres, colleges, community organisations, and local employment providers.
• Attend and organise recruitment events and job fairs.
• Conduct exit interviews and support retention initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and reducing turnover.
