What You'll Be Doing
As our Recruitment & Retention Officer, you'll take a leading role in ensuring ICare attracts and retains exceptional talent across our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging, high-impact job adverts that attract quality candidates.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, recruitment fairs, networking opportunities, and innovative recruitment campaigns.
- Build strong partnerships with Hiring Managers and support recruitment planning across multiple locations.
- Deliver an outstanding candidate experience from application through to onboarding.
- Arrange interviews and provide recruitment guidance to operational managers.
- Conduct pre-employment checks, references, right-to-work checks, and compliance processes.
- Ensure candidates complete onboarding requirements and mandatory training.
- Produce recruitment reports and analyse recruitment trends.
- Develop relationships with Job Centres, colleges, community organisations, and local employment providers.
- Attend and organise recruitment events and job fairs.
- Conduct exit interviews and support retention initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and reducing turnover.

Experience & Skills
Essential
- Previous recruitment experience
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Experience sourcing candidates through multiple channels
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Experience building effective stakeholder relationships
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable
- Recruitment experience within the Health and Social Care sector
- Experience recruiting across multiple locations
- Knowledge of recruitment fairs and community engagement initiatives
- Understanding of employee retention and engagement strategies
