Thanks to a wealth of knowledge and experience among our directors, Global has become an industry expert in the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire safety, fire suppression, and security systems.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking to appoint a Talent Acquisition Partner, based at our Head Office in Nottingham, NG2 Business Park.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced internal recruitment professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience recruiting in a field-based engineering environment.
Job Purpose:
- To deliver the recruitment of new colleagues into a service-led business.
- To lead the attraction, assessment, and delivery of candidates across the company.
- Partner effectively with hiring managers, utilizing data to inform hiring decisions and reporting on recruitment metrics.
- Recruit across various functions and levels, from technical engineers to project managers, customer service, early careers, and senior management.
- Influence recruitment plans at a national level and contribute to other HR projects. This standalone role reports to the General Manager, ideal for someone with in-house experience aiming to be the sole recruitment lead.
Key Tasks
Business Partnering
- Partner with stakeholders to manage internal and external talent acquisition.
- Identify opportunities to optimize the recruitment process with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Coach stakeholders on recruitment best practices to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Present recruitment analytics to inform strategy and highlight areas for improvement.
Candidate Experience
- Manage candidate review, qualification, and communication, focusing on quality and experience.
- Select suitable candidates based on skills and cultural fit.
- Manage all candidate communications, including interview scheduling and testing.
- Ensure a world-class candidate experience at all touchpoints, promoting Global Fire and Security as an employer of choice.
- Utilize headhunting tools to connect with prospective candidates for current and future opportunities.
Projects
- Operate and improve the ATS system (Talos360).
- Explore innovative recruitment routes.
- Manage supplier relationships to optimize partnerships.
- Upskill hiring managers in selection techniques and tools.
About You
- Proven experience managing recruitment in a fast-paced in-house environment.
- Experience driving a direct hiring model and knowledge of various market routes.
- Experience recruiting engineers is highly advantageous.
- Ability to influence stakeholders up to senior levels.
- Experience in leading or participating in employer branding activities.
- Strong project management skills across multiple disciplines.
- Passion for talent acquisition and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
- Agile mindset to understand diverse professions within the industry.
- Flexibility to adapt actions and priorities for different roles and seniorities.
- Can-do attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
