Building Paloma Health to make NHS children's autism and ADHD care accessible for families and affordable for the NHS. Medical doctor by training.

About Paloma Health

We aim to provide families with high-quality NHS children’s autism and ADHD assessments within 4 weeks of GP referral.

We were founded as we don't think it is right that families are waiting 2-5 years for NHS children’s autism and ADHD assessments, and this crisis has recently been highlighted by the Children’s Commissioner for England: https://www.childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/blog/childrens-commissioner-warns-of-invisible-crisis-as-delays-and-inequalities-laid-bare-among-children-with-neurodevelopmental-conditions/

Our success is driven by our team, and our constant focus on redesigning care pathways, building fantastic software, and innovating in workforce models.

How is Paloma Health different?

  • We are clinically-led and Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered, with a friendly and approachable team
  • We have built our own software platform to:
  • Give our patients a more consumer-like experience of healthcare
  • Free our clinicians from admin to focus on patient care
  • Our strong culture, including transparency, a sense of community, and supporting staff career development
  • The experience of our founders (Dr Mark Jenkins & Darshak Shah), who have previously built tech-enabled NHS obesity and ophthalmology services. Combined, their previous companies have treated over 1 million NHS patients in the last 15 years!
  • Being backed by leading healthcare investors (Triple Point Ventures and Heal Capital), allows us to move fast

The Opportunity

As the Talent Lead, you will:

  • Drive the growth of both the Clinical and Central teams at Paloma.
  • Own our end-to-end hiring strategy, ensuring we attract, hire, and retain the best talent through a mixture of headhunting and recruiting.
  • Own our Talent software systems and processes.
  • Work closely with our Founders to build a strong employer brand, optimise hiring processes, and create a culture where top talent thrives.
  • Line manage our Talent Specialist and grow the Talent team as needed.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing organisation and have a significant impact on both our team and the patients we serve. With you demonstrating high performance in this role, you can be promoted to Head of Talent, and then Talent Director with time.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute our hiring strategy to support rapid growth.
  • Build and lead talent acquisition, ensuring a seamless recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Develop our employer brand to attract the best talent in tech and healthcare.
  • Partner with the Founders, Line Managers and Head of People to forecast hiring needs and shape organisational design.
  • Own and refine recruitment software tools, data, and analytics to drive hiring efficiency.
  • Foster an inclusive and high-performance People & Talent culture

About you

You are a highly capable Talent professional who can operate autonomously, thrive in ambiguity, and lead Talent in a rapidly growing organisation. You are passionate about creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture and have the skills to drive strategic and operational initiatives.

Ideally you have a passion for healthcare and/or health tech and a drive to make an impact.

Qualifications and experience

Required:

  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, ideally in a fast-growing startup or scale-up.
  • Deep understanding of hiring for clinical, technical, and operational roles, including evidence of how you have brought creative thinking to recruiting skilled healthcare professionals from small talent pools.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach. You are equally comfortable setting high-level strategy and rolling up your sleeves to execute.
  • Experience building employer brand and recruitment processes from scratch and proven ability to refine those processes based on learning and feedback.
  • Experience using Greenhouse ATS and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Experience working in a CQC-registered healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with the NHS or other healthcare systems.

Why Join Us?

At Paloma Health, you’ll be part of a mission-driven organisation transforming access to healthcare for patients in England. We offer:

  • A strong and positive culture prioritising staff well-being, transparency, and career development.
  • Protected time and budget for team connection, learning, and community-building.
  • Salary of £70,000 per year with some flexibility based on experience.
  • Annual salary reviews, 5% employer pension, and company laptop.
  • Share options in Paloma Health. We all benefit from our success!
  • A unique leave benefits package, including 25 days of annual leave, plus your birthday off, plus 10 days of paid sabbatical leave every three years.

Time commitment: Full time.

Location: Hybrid working, three days in the London office and two flexible for home or office.

We consider flexible working requests if this is not possible for you.

Reporting to: Darshak Shah, Exec Chair
