Job summary

Elm Tree Multi Academy Trust is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our IEN team, supporting students with SEND, with a focus on SEMH needs. You will assist teaching staff in lessons, deliver targeted interventions, provide support within personalised provision areas, and help students develop academic and personal skills while fostering wellbeing and engagement.

This is a permanent role, term-time only plus 1 week (39 weeks) at 31.67 hours per week, with salary band H starting at

Qualifications

• GCSE level minimum.
• Qualification or knowledge in at least one curriculum area or SEND.
• Experience supporting learning in young people, SEMH focus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with strong communication.
• Flexibility to support wider IEN faculty.

Responsibilities

• Support students in lessons and deliver targeted interventions.
• Provide support within personalised provision areas and help skill development.
• Assist planning, delivery and evaluation of interventions for individuals/small groups.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents/carers and professionals to ensure support.
• Promote positive relationships, emotional wellbeing and learning engagement.
