Job summary

The Mead Educational Trust's Netherhall Mead seeks a compassionate Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 4–19 with severe and profound learning difficulties. You will assist with learning access, communication and independence, in partnership with teachers and professionals.

This 32.5-hour-per-week role runs 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 training days) with a salary from £25,309 to £27,185.

Qualifications

• Good basic education with English and Maths (GCSE 4/C or above).
• Evidence of relevant qualifications: NNEB/BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or higher.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant desirable but not essential.
• Commitment to working with pupils with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in accessing learning and developing communication skills.
• Aid independence and achievement of individual outcomes with teachers.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
