Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support English and Maths learners at the Cauldwell Street Campus in Bedford.

You will provide in-class, one-to-one and small-group support, assist tutors with lesson prep and assessment, and uphold safeguarding and inclusion policies. A relevant teaching assistant qualification is advantageous and Right to Work in the UK required.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths are essential.
• Level 3 English and Maths qualifications are advantageous.
• Level 2+ Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class, one-to-one and small-group support for English and Maths learners.
• Support learners with EHCPs in inclusive environments.
• Assist tutors with lesson prep, resources, assessments and progress monitoring.
• Promote positive behaviour, attendance and learner engagement.
• Uphold safeguarding, equality and health and safety policies.
