Job summary
The Bedford College Group is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support English and Maths learners at Bedford College (Cauldwell Street Campus). The role is full-time and permanent with a salary between £25,585 and £30,915 (pro rata) per annum DOE.
You will deliver learner support, help maintain an inclusive environment and assist tutors with classroom activities. Ideal candidates will have GCSEs in English and Maths, Level 3 English and Maths, and a Level 2+ Teaching Assistant
Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are essential.
- Level 3 English and Maths qualifications are advantageous.
- Level 2+ Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-class, one-to-one and small-group support for English and Maths learners.
- Support learners with additional needs in an inclusive environment.
- Assist tutors with lesson preparation, resources, assessments and monitoring learner progress.
- Promote positive behaviour, attendance and learner engagement.
- Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion and health and safety requirements.
