Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to support Maths and English in the English and Maths department. The role is based in the UK with a permanent, part-time contract and includes duties in classroom support, learner engagement and assessment assistance.

As a TA Level 2, you will assist GCSE and Functional Skills delivery, support learners with additional needs, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment while following safeguarding and DBS

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths required, plus Level 3 qualification.
• Experience supporting learners in educational settings and aiding classroom learning.
• Strong communication, teamwork and IT skills essential; commitment to equality and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support for GCSE and Functional Skills English and Maths.
• Support learners with additional needs and promote inclusive learning environments.
• Encourage attendance, behaviour and learner progress; monitor progress with tutor guidance.
• Prepare materials, support small groups or 1:1 sessions, track learner progress.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding standards.
