Job summary

Cheshire East Council is seeking a Systems Support Officer to join the Development Management team. The role focuses on providing systems support for the Planning Service, maintaining and improving business systems, and collaborating with Officers, ICT colleagues and suppliers to resolve issues.

You will contribute to delivering an excellent service, drive continuous improvement, and operate in a hybrid work environment with opportunities to work from home and in the office.

We have a fantastic opportunity to appoint a Systems Support Officer in our well-established Development Management team at Cheshire East. In this role, you will provide systems support for the Planning Service, taking ownership of issues from initial identification and investigation through to successful resolution. If you enjoy working collaboratively, have strong problem-solving skills, and take pride in delivering excellent support, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Systems Support Officer to join our well-established Development Management team at Cheshire East. This role involves providing systems support for the Planning Service, helping to ensure the effective operation, configuration, maintenance and continuous improvement of our business systems. Acting as the first point of contact for system-related queries and issues, you will investigate problems, identify solutions and work closely with Officers, ICT colleagues and software suppliers to achieve timely resolutions.
